Data backup settings
Configure data backup settings to automatically back up your exported data to cloud services like Google Sheets or save your export metadata to your account.
Overview
The Data Backup Settings page allows you to configure where your exported files and their associated data are saved. You can enable automatic cloud backups to services like Google Sheets and also manage whether files are saved locally to your computer.

plan Requirements
Configuring data backup settings is available on the Pro plan and above. Users on the Free or Basic plans will need to upgrade to access these features.
Cloud backup Settings
This section allows you to automatically save your data to the cloud.
Google Sheets Integration
When enabled, each export's data is automatically saved to a Google Sheet in your Google Drive. To use this feature, first link your Google account to Property Data Labs via the “Heads up!” banner at the top of the page.
File Export History and Metadata
Enable this toggle to save a record of every export you perform to your Property Data Labs account. This saved metadata includes:
- The date and time of the export
- The number of listings exported
- The export format used (e.g., CSV, Excel)
- The source URL of the Zillow page
Download Files Locally
This section controls the default browser download behavior.
Save your exported files on your computer
When this setting is enabled, your exported files will be saved directly to your computer's "Downloads" folder after an export is completed.
Important Rule
You cannot disable local file downloads unless you have at least one cloud backup method (e.g., Google Sheets) enabled. This is a failsafe to ensure your exported data is always saved somewhere.
Saving Your Changes
After configuring your settings, click the Save preferences button to apply your changes.
