Cloud Importer

The Cloud Importer allows you to export data points not available in the browser extension. The export happens on our servers so you can close your browser and do other things while the export is running.

Overview

The Cloud Importer is our most powerful data export tool. It allows you to run large-scale or data-intensive exports directly on our servers. This frees up your computer's resources and gives you access to a wider range of data points than is possible with a standard browser export.

Once you start a cloud job, you can safely close the Zillow tab or your browser entirely—we'll handle the rest.

Plan Requirements

The Cloud Importer is a premium feature available on the Pro plan and above. Please upgrade your plan to access it.

Key Advantages

Using the Cloud Importer offers several benefits over standard browser exports:

  • More Data: Access an extended set of data fields for a more comprehensive analysis.
  • Server-Side Processing: Exports run on our optimized servers, not in your browser, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Run in the Background: You can close your browser and even turn off your computer while the job completes.
  • Built for Scale: It is the recommended method for exporting very large numbers of properties.

Managing Your Cloud Jobs

The Cloud Importer screen in the extension menu serves as your dashboard for managing all your server-side exports.

Creating a New Job

Click the Create new job button to launch the configuration wizard for a new cloud export. You will be guided through the steps to set up your export parameters. For a detailed walkthrough, please see our guide on your first Cloud Export.

Understanding the Jobs List

The main part of the screen is the jobs list, which gives you an at-a-glance view of all your cloud exports.

  • Name: The custom name you assigned to the job.
  • Status: The current state of the job (e.g., Active, Inactive, Archived).
  • Results count: The number of properties successfully exported.
  • Listing type: The category of listings for the job (e.g., For sale, Sold, For rent).
  • Export type: The level of data detail (Basic or Advanced).
  • Actions (...): Click this menu to perform actions on a job, such as viewing details, downloading the results, or deleting the job.

You can use the Refresh button to fetch the latest status for all your jobs and the Toggle columns button to customize which columns are visible in the list.
